The MacBook Air has come a long way from it’s humble beginnings, to the extent that we recommend and configure them for use cases that would have been the sole purview of the MacBook Pro in past years.
Features that both HB Technology solutions and our customers love:
1) True Tone technology-as if a high definition edge-to edge Retina Display on an entry level laptop wasn’t enough, the color temperature of the display now automatically adjusts for a more comfortable viewingexperience depending on your ambient lighting.
2) Touch Bar-another “must-have” feature that has made it’s way down the Apple laptop food chain. It’s hard for us to live without the added convenience of this touch display strip at the top of the keyboard.
3) Wide stereo sound with twice the bass and 25 percent more volume
4) Touch ID-Touch ID sensor is seamlessly integrated into the power button so MacBook Air unlocks with the touch of a finger (not as cool as the facial recognition technology on the new iOS devices, but still alot faster and more convenient than entering passwords!)
5) Apple T2 Security Chip-Apple combined a number of separate chips into one, bringing a new level of security to Touch ID data and providing the foundation for new encrypted storage and secure boot capabilities.
Finally, the Achilles Heel across many of the Mac laptops has been the keyboard–prone to failure and a less than appealing tactile feel. An updated “butterfly” keyboard resolves the issues of tactile feel (from first-hand experience) and fingers crossed brings with it greater reliability.
