Exposed LAN cabling

Exposed LAN cabling

Sometimes there is no access to the interior of walls to install Local Area Network cabling. In these scenarios, all horizontal and vertical runs of cable are exposed. It becomes especially important to shield the cables from damage in high activity areas, provide stress relief coils and bends and still provide a clean and tidy appearance.

Talbot’s Toyland Closes

Talbot’s Toyland Closes

We did some triage work on their LAN a few years back. They did not take us up on a necessary overhaul of the entire network and wiring infrastructure or a migration to a better point of sale or inventorying system. They never specialized in high/unique toys or opened a candy store/soda fountain. This would have differentiated themselves from your run of the mill Toys R’ Us (also now defunct), so I can’t say that I am really surprised at their closure. I am a little sad though.

Apple’s Ad-Targeting Crackdown Shakes Up Ad Market

Apple’s Ad-Targeting Crackdown Shakes Up Ad Market

Since Apple introduced what it calls its Intelligent Tracking Prevention feature in September 2017, and with subsequent updates last year, advertisers have largely lost the ability to target people on Safari based on their browsing habits with cookies

This shift is significant because iPhone owners tend to be more affluent and therefore more attractive to advertisers.

Moreover, Safari makes up 53% of the mobile browser market in the U.S., according to web analytics service Statscounter.
